A Tale of the Sea
You can tell a good story by how easy a read it is. And this one is a good tale. A good number of solid characters mixed into storylines that the TV soaps would be proud of, but still 100% believable. A very good read, I read it in one go as I had the time and I feel it was time will spent.
True to Life
Lovely story about Brixham where I was born. Couldn’t put the book down. Wonderful story about a fisherman’s family if you’ve ever been to Brixham you’ll recognise the names of the streets. Very well written would love to hear more from this author.
An Enthralling Book
Held my interest from the first page. Lots of research done by the author to produce a gripping story wrapped around the lives of the local people in a busy Devon fishing port. Absolutely loved it and hope there will be a sequel.

An immensely enjoyable read depicting the dangers,love and lives of a trawler fishing community.

Why did I write When the Tide Turns?
It just evolved.
I started writing the opening chapter, and the words simply flowed. Before I knew it, the characters had begun to take on lives of their own, and the story seemed to know where it wanted to go.
Some of the events and experiences woven into the novel were things I knew had happened. As I wrote, it felt as though these stories had been waiting to be told.
The fishing community of Brixham, the people, the relationships and the ever-changing sea all became part of the story. What began with a few words on a page gradually grew into When the Tide Turns.
Looking back, I don't think I consciously set out to write this particular book.
It was simply a story that wanted to be told.
